SAFE SPACE
SOMETHING FOR THE KIDS INC. PRESENTS:
Safe Space Program
The Safe Space Program is designed to provide a structured and supportive environment for students who have been externally suspended from school. Instead of leaving these students at home without supervision or guidance, the Safe Space Program offers a positive alternative where they can continue their academic work, receive mentoring, and learn important life skills during their suspension period.
We understand that children sometimes make mistakes, but our goal is to ensure that those moments don’t define their future. Through our program, we provide a safe, constructive space where students can reflect on their actions, develop self-control, and take responsibility for their behavior, all while staying on track with their education.
Our program operates in partnership with local school boards across South Florida to serve as an alternative to simply suspending students without support. With dedicated staff and mentors, we work to instill the importance of self-discipline, responsibility, and making better choices in the future.
The Safe Space Program aims to:
-
Help students complete schoolwork while suspended so they don’t fall behind.
-
Provide emotional support and mentorship to guide them through difficult times.
-
Teach life skills and conflict resolution to improve decision-making.
-
Offer parents peace of mind, knowing their child is in a structured environment during school hours.
For students who show promise and commitment to improvement, we offer the opportunity to join our broader Tomorrow’s Leaders program, where they can continue to grow, receive guidance, and develop leadership skills.
Our motto: No Child Left Behind. We believe every child deserves a second chance, and our Safe Space Program is here to give them the tools they need to succeed.
